OK -- drag and drop is not working on my Audacity 2.04

I'm using W7 64 -- can anyone help with this?

New to the board -- I am using a Dell Adamo with a 256 SSD and have been having constant problems using 2.02 -- when I transfer either mp3 or wav files I can use them and edit for a few minutes, then Audacity basically freezes, with the circular activity icon running and running, requiring a forced ...

To the response about using the latest LAME dll,
I attempted to use it with 1.3.7 and had no success --
it kept giving me a prompt saying Audacity cannot
work with this version of LAME

Really -- I appreciate everything Audacity
people are doing!

Sorry -- I meant THREAD -- but the
problem is out there on 1.3.7.

Can anyone provide some advice on
this other than going back to 1.3.6,
which is still around on some sites.

Yes, the crashes of 1.3.7 were reported
last week in a separate threat as well.

Is anyone addressing this?????

Like others I am returning to 1.3.6
or 1.2. . .

Yes, here too.....after going well for a while,
now crashing consistently forcing a recovery of
tracks.

I'm using VISTA. . . .happening when trying
to import and / or save MONO or STEREO files
into mp3.

OK, I see now how to do it -- but
please in future, we need this to
be explained up front and on top!

I will try that -- but man, is that confusing -- I think
it's preferable to have the format list come up first. . .

Folks -- as you can see 1.3.7 is now
listed on the main Audacity site for
download rather than 1.3.6

This is clearly a problem with the program. . .
