Yes - it is at the same spot. Note that this is only happening after I export the song; no problems are visible or audible before the export. Attached is a shot of what it looks like when I open an affected file.
When I export, I am saving as signed 32-bit pcm WAV @44.100 kHz.

When recording using Audacity, I notice when playing back a song, during random points a pop will occur and one channel goes out. Having just repeated the process now, I installed Audacity 1.3 and LAME (the one linked on the audacity sourceforge page). Oddly enough, the WAV file you suggested went through fine...I tried other songs and, at first, got nothing. I rebooted and did a thorough, several-hour cleanup, then tried agai...
