Aha. So I had to select "set project rate" to 44.1

I didn't know that was even there..but I saw it, and it was at 48. I changed it and it now works.

Under preferences, I have set: Default sample rate 41000 hz
Default sample rate 16bit

After exporting a wav file, when I click Properties on the file, it will say under "summary" 48kHz, 16 bit.

I meant export, not save. I tried both 1.2 and the beta version, but it still will not let me save it as anything but 48 khz. I also tried editing the preferences. I never had this problem before, and have used Audacity many times before to save wav files as 44.1 khz, so I am not sure what is causin...

Whenever I try to save a wav file, even if I specify it as a different rate, it saves it as a 48khz file.

I have tried everything to save it as a 44.1khz file, but it just keeps saving it as 48khz. I can't figure out why. Can anyone help?
