Thank you Koz. Your suggestion to delete the Audacity.cfg file solved the problem. After trying the shortcut "p" with no effect I deleted the cfg file and restarted Audacity and life was good!! HI all,
I just installed the 1.3 Betta version and was recording from a tape, when I clicked on the pause button nothing happened. AudioCity kept recording. Not a big problem but just annoying to have to cut out all that empty space while turning over the tape.

I found and downloaded Audacity 1.3.3 and it launched OK. my project is able to open as well.....
