Thanks, Koz, for the info. Will uninstall 1.2 and install 1.3.12. But, one further question. Are there certain files that I should ensure are removed, as to NOT cause conflict with the new installation? Seems to me I read such in the archives a while back.

I downloaded vs. 1.2.6 and installed the LAME file to export MP3 files. After scrupulously following the instructions, I get the message: "can't open encoding library". I have redone the procedure numerous times and continue to get the message. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be?...
