Hi. Thanks for coming back to me. The Audacity is 1.2.6 I'm using Windows XP and yes the other buttons respond during a recording and after.Except the Effects button. The records I have recorded have no body in the sound,no bass,they have a high treble sound. I am using a "Soundlab" record player. I...

How do I gain access to effects menu,in particular bass boost as all I have is treble.
I have tried click & drag with selection tool...does'nt work. Select all does'nt light up
and yellow stop button does nothing.

How do I access bass boost to decrease the level of treble which is too high
