Re: Bandpass filter
Hi Steve, Thank you very much. Yes. I thought of that too but was hoping there may be a plugin or a ready-made effect that would allow multiple bandpassing e.g. 0-320Hz (ok.. LP if you like), then 2,400Hz - 2,600Hz then 10KHz - 15KHz. These numbers are just illustrative - not what I am really trying...

Bandpass filter
Hello I am a relative novice to Audacity. I am using Audacity 2.0.5 out of the box. I would like to use a bandpass filter (with a steep slope to make it quite "watertight"). I notice that there is a low-pass and a high-pass filter provided but cannot find any bandpass filter(s). Is it possible to ge...

Re: Keeping stereo tracks separate/unmixed on save
Well... for what it's worth, I would be happy for this thread to continue as it is as I am very interested to see what solutions can be found.
I too wonder if it is not a hardware issue for at least some of us facing this problem.

Re: Keeping stereo tracks separate/unmixed on save
Thanks for the good advice Koz. I will check using your file - I am aware that this could be a problem but the tracks seem pretty watertight in my headphones. I will check with different speakers too.

Keeping stereo tracks separate/unmixed on save
Hello I have tried to find an answer for this but to no avail. Please forgive me if this is obvious or common. I am very new to audacity. I have made a stereo recording with a left and a right track in two separate windows (one under the other). When I play the recording in audacity the left and rig...

Re: Replacing UNequal length silences with equal length sile
Hi and thanks for replying. I am making some language-learning mp3s which have been recorded by native speakers leaving gaps of unequal length between utterances. I want to change the gaps into silences of equal length. I may then transfer the mp3s to a CD or make a CD (either digital or analog) fro...

Replacing UNequal length silences with equal length silences
Hello everyone,
is it possible for Audacity to automatically identify silences of unequal length in a recording (e.g. 200ms, 750ms, 10 secs) and replace all of them with silences of equal length (e.g. 2 secs)?
Thanks for any help. I am very new to this.
