My latest ineptitude is failure to insert Silence Finder into Audacity's Plug In. I have followed both routes and Explorer shows it sitting in the Plug In but reopening Audacity still has Silence Finder greyed out in Analyzer. Glad I've voted in British election today as I can blame the new governme...

Indeed; and thank you. When I have selected and copied I cannot paste into a new file because the Paste command is greyed out. Is there another way of making a series small clips taken from the one long one?

I have a single commentary which I need to split into information blocks to accompany photos in a video. Having selected the piece and copied it I cannot paste it anywhere else (a new Audacity file?) because that part of the Edit dropdown is greyed out. Is there another way? I know I have to export ...
