not delete them but just close them so the pane is empty.
what I am wondering if the music you record using audacity is stored in RAM before being exported as .wav or .mp3. My task manager shows audacity using 688 megs of RAM.

In my experience, if I record a couple of hours of music or more Audicity will freeze seeming because it needs more RAM. Audacity uses lots of memory.

I just recorded about hour and a half of music and exported it to disk. I have a gig of ram and a 2.2 ghz processor. With the songs still in Audacity I was showing using about 688 meg of ram. I had no problem exporting the files as mp3 but when I tried to close Audacity, after deleting the unexporte...
