And here all I want to do is to play a sound, then record it and find out the difference in volume from playback to recording.

Do you mean Starcraft? Protoss voice? If so, better to look something into like "Voice changing engine" Search on google for info.

Sorry, don't have it anymore. There's no real absolute way to do it. You can reduce it a little bit but if you cut down all the hiss the the quality of the sound that you want goes all funny. You just have to keep tweaking the settings. And try and get it the best you can.

Oh ok, also is there a way to list the frequencies in order of decibels? Like I want to seperate the frequencies, but only the ones that are at different decibels. And I know that there are thousands of different frequencies, but I just want to seperate them by the decibels that actually have a sign...

Oh I had that problem a while ago, apparently there's many ways to reduce noise and humming. But there's been quite a good way to do it. Anyhow, some software has automatic noise suppression, I don't know about audacity but I know soundforge can, plus theres like tons of settings in sound forge. So ...

Hi, I'm new to audacity and I've been looking for a way to make a sound.
Is there someway, in audacity to make a single note. With just one frequency?
Also can I then to record a sound and separate the different frequencies and put them into separate tracks?
