None of those suggestions work so let me look at the sound card specs and which one

I just installed audacity and was going to convert cassette to WAV, hit record and got an error message that said ERROR WHILE OPENING SOUND DEVICE. PLEASE CHECK THE INPUT DEVICE SETTINGS AND THE PROJECT SAMPLE RATE. I've tried to figure this out but I can't. Anyone out there know how to correct this?
