Normalizing multiple tracks at once.

I have some multiple drum tracks recorded at different times. Can I import them to Audacity and equal the volume levels on all the tracks at once?

Re: Mixing down mulstiple tracks.

I tried pan the "left" left and the right "right" but it still just mixes them over each other unless I am doing something wrong. Which is probably the case. I plan to upgrade because this project was recorded on Audacity and I like how easy it is. Thank you for you input.

Re: Mixing down mulstiple tracks.

So, I did that and the song is mixed down to one stereo channel. Were as before the mastering, guitars where panned left and right. Not getting that now. Could it be how my friend mastered the tracks and mixed them down?

Mixing down mulstiple tracks.

I had a friend work on a music project of mine to beef up the sound with his software. When he finished it, he save each song as a Microsoft Wave Sound File with two tracks, left and right. How do I import them into Audacity and then mix them down to a single stereo track?

Re: Rendering Volume question.

This is for a music file. I imported a song to do vocals. I have recorded the vocals and did all editing to achieve the sound I want. Now I need to export it to a wav file for a finished product (mastering will be done later with another program). So, when I play it back on Audacity it sounds good. ...

Rendering Volume question.

I am currently using version 1.2.6. for a small side project. My questions is about the output volume (or playback volume) when rendering a project to a wav format. Does that volume (what ever level it may be set at) effect the volume of the rendered file? Or does it not effect it at all. Thanks. - C
