Thanks guys. I was trying to record long segments from my satellite radio so that I could cut it up and then playback while on long motorcycle trips. I do multiday tours. I had it set up to record overnight while sleeping and was going to edit out most of the DJ chat. I had tried to recover but not...

If you want to get the audio out of an mov file, I would suggest trying Avidemux. It's an open source video editor. You can extract the audio directly to MP3 from there.
