I think I have fixed my static problem, but now I have a new problem. I made a recording recently, and I had some noise from the mic being too close to the TV, so I tried messing with the noise removal. When I didn't like what I had, I clicked open and reopened the aup file, and it gave me the nonse...

It's a small dent on the handle of the microphone, the top doesn't seem damaged; although I could have hit something in there, I doubt it.

There were no problems before I dropped it, and the only thing plugged in with it the other day was my capture device, a dazzle. This morning I had a 360 controller plugged in too, and I thought that was the problem at first, but unplugging it didn't help.

I use audacity to record my voice with my Rock Band microphone, and a few days ago it worked just fine for recording for 20+ minutes etc. Just today I went to record some more, and at random times I get big sessions of static when recording.
