Re: Sample Rate Woes
Windows 7....First of all thanks Gale for your feedback! I obtained a small cassette player that converts the cassette into an MP3 file. I then recorded the cassette and converted the MP3 file into WAV format and then simply dragged the WAV file into Audacity. The plan was to eventually join Track 2...

Sample Rate Woes
I am using Windows 7. The enclosed attachment shows two separate tracks. Track 1 Sample rate is 48000 Hz, while the Sample Rate on Track 2 is 44100. I may be daft but how in the world did I manage to get two separate sample rates?

Require assistance
Windows 7, Audacity 2.1.1,.exe installer. Two questions: (1) I recently obtained an audio cassette player that converts the music or dialogue over to the MP3 format. As this player does not have an auto-reverse feature, I ended up with two MP3 files. When I imported the both files onto audacity and ...

Re: Recording Issues
Hi Steve! I have decided to ignore the USB ports and try another method. This past evening I went out and purchased a sound card, which I installed and then I disabled the Sigma Audio Tel integrated sound. I then connected the turntable (which also came with RCA cables for left and right channels) t...

Re: Recording Issues
Steve, I disconnected the printer and the external hard drive and plugged the turntable into both the USB ports occupied by the printer and external hard drive, but no joy. I'm beginning to think that it is time to call it quits. I've been busting my ass on this for three days now with no results! Ken

Re: Recording Issues
Steve, Yes, I do have an external hard drive connected as well as a HP Officejet printer. I have been using the USB ports on the front of the computer for the turntable, I wonder if this could be the problem? I also received the following email from Innovative Technologies: "Dear Mr. Wilhite, Becaue...

Re: Recording Issues
I connected the turntable to the computer and rebooted, and when I looked in the "safely disconnect hardware" taskbar all I found listed was my printer and a "USB Mass Storage!"

Re: Recording Issues
I am using Windows XP Professional w/Service Pack 3. As for the McAudio Devices (Numbers listed 0 through 15) I have no idea what they are either. I tried to find a AK5371 driver to download from the internet, but drew a blank. I did contact Innovative Technologies to see if they could forward a dri...
