Extending a Short Piece

Hello folks, newbie here It has been a long while............ :lol: I have a 3 second piece of "siren sound" that I would like to extend. But cutting and pasting doesn't sound seamless, and the joining point is clearly recognizable. What is the best method/approach to accomplish this task? Thank you...

Then in Audacity Preferences/Recording, there is choice for up to 16 channels; What does channels signify here?

So long as it doesnt matter that your multiple tracks are recorded to one track in audacity you can buy a small mixing desk with say 4 inputs and record through that and have the out put going into your single sound card input I am throwing a hypothetical question to get a feed back: Is there any m...

I was trying to start/stop at given times, and I have version 1.2.6. Is this feature supported in my version and if so, would you please explain "...left clicking on the audio..."?
