Re: Moved the computer far from the stereo!

In thinking this through - would it make more sense to get a separate pre-amp and move the turntable/pre-amp to the computer for recording?

Re: Moved the computer far from the stereo!

Hey - I appreciate the replies. mxzmzmzmzmz - doesn't sound like a good thing to deal with. My system is relatively high end - Dual 1229 Turntable, Marantz 2230 receiver. So the turntable uses the built-in pre-amp of the receiver. I hadn't heard about the Zoom H2 devise. That sounds like a nice n' e...

Re: Acoustica Spin It Again??

Thanks for the reply. It's obvious that the do-it-all turntables are low-end.

Acoustica Spin It Again??

Has anyone used this program? Looks like a simplified version of Audacity! I'm one of those who just wants to have the vinyl put into digital form without lots of steps. (But it does need to sound good of course).

Re: Sound Card question

Thanks so much for the replies. Lots of good info. As for hook-up -- I have a Dual 1229 turntable (nice) and a Marantz 2230 receiver (also nice). When I experimented earlier I used the dubbing out and with adapters connected to the sound card. The usb connector mentioned has the rca plugs. Am I just...

Sound Card question

I'm new to this - so please excuse me if this has been brought up in the past. I have a couple of hundred albums to copy. This will probably take a year to go through the collection. The sound card in my computer is a Realtek (Internal High Definition Audio). Is there any reason to replace this with...

Re: multiple tracks problem

Now that's weird. The export selection worked. Any idea why it didn't work as export multiple?
