Just tried again and... it works! Nothing changed. Odd......

I want to record "what you hear"
I can hear it from the speakers and as I say I think I have enabled and selected the relevent bit but I just get a flat line.
PC is fine and that is the main thing.

I have a new laptop with the same Realtek sound card as my PC As far as I can see all is set up as per the PC and as per all the advice on this forum. Stereo Mix enabled in sound card and Audacity etc but still no recording. I have sweated over this for hours. Must be something easy. Anybody know wh...

Try what I said. Go to the card in control panel. Right click to enable the function.
