Re: Refusal to burn........
Thanks for the replies. The Pinnacle was too expensive for the amount of video to be transferred. Gave up on the free option, as was said 'lots of hoops to jump through'....too many! I lost the will to live after so many screens. I did hope that there was something as good as Audacity about, too muc...

Re: Refusal to burn........
I thought an update might lead me in to asking a question unrelated to Audacity? If this is the wrong place to ask, apologies! I thought the members using this forum might well have the knowledge that I lack. Really like Audacity and the CDburnerXP. Audacity does just what I want, snipping out bits ...

Re: Refusal to burn........
WC
All appears as it should be.
Happy to do review, will give it a few days and ensure that it continues to perform. Audacity is all I hoped for...lots of Youtube videos that really show how it can be used.
Once again many thanks...
I have learnt a lot.

Re: Refusal to burn........
WC I think I may have solved it......my trusted and much loved B & O stereo is playing up. My wife discovered this. All cd's prior to these new burns play without a problem, the new burns do not. It looks as though a new cd player is on the horizon, which is a shame as I inherited the B & O ...

Re: Refusal to burn........
WC...Many thanks for your reply. It is getting stranger by the minute. Good news.....Audacity looks to be in the clear. Just taken the burnt cd's to my friends house and tried them on his cd player...they work, then to my car and they work. Put them back into my cd player and the player ejects them ...

Re: Refusal to burn........
Steve I feel a bit foolish now, dishing out such fulsome praise. It still does not work. The successful recording that led me to thinking I had cracked it....that replayed successfully....when now inserted in cd player only lets out a loud feedback type noise. I am not even going to try and work out...

Re: Refusal to burn........
Steve......Done it! Finding the original Audacity icon on my desktop, I suddenly had the thought of comparing the Edit/preferences......found the 'PnP' not checked. Just recorded a tester and lo and behold it is playing perfectly. Without your help advising the downloads, I would still be pulling my...

Re: Refusal to burn........
Many thanks again.
I do not even need to try and record....the feedback just happens. I will have a look at the tutorials.
Kind regards.
Norman.

Re: Refusal to burn........
Steve...many thanks for your swift reply. Downloaded as you suggested.........? What I get now is a high pitched whistle, which starts low down and rapidly rises in volume until it appears to fill all available space. This happens with Audacity screen just open and not being asked to perform. If I h...

Refusal to burn........
Having loads of vinyl and cassette tapes which I want to copy to CD for my own personal use in the car. I saw a 'Music Grabber' device offered for sale in The Daily Express and upon arrival I find that it use's Audacity to perform the recording. Very impressed with Audacity and how it performs....I ...
