Download the ZIP version (for Windows) from this page: http://lame.buanzo.com.ar Extract the contents of the zip file into your Audacity folder (which is in "Program Files"). Open up Preferences (from the Edit menu) and on the "File Formats" page, click on the "Find Library...

NEW PROBLEM
Okay...now that that's worked and I've saved a test file, I tried to install then open LAME. All I saw for a brief second was a black box with what looked like computer code in it, and then nothing else happened. All subsequent attempts yielded the same results...am I doing something wrong? I am using Audacity 1.2.4 in conjunction with Behringer's Podcaststudio. When I attempt to record, the "blue lines" indicating pickup appear, but playback yields no audio. I have already browsed this forum as well as the very unhelpful FAQ on this topic. How can I remedy this, and how exac...
