Yes, mbox 2 mini. I plug it in before i start audacity and it won't show up in preferenses. When using pro tools le 8 it does work to record and to hear the sound trough the usb soundcard. In sounds and audio devices i have put the mbox as default playback device but i don't get the option to set it as default recording the only option there is the soundmax HD audio.

I want to be able to use the mic plugged into my mbox usb device instead of the one the computer has plugged in.

I've checked it all but i'm not really sure what i'm supposed to look for since im new to all this. Am i supposed to use the line out and activate only this or should i disable the mic somehow? Thanks in advance

Now when i start recording it uses the mic from the computer instead of the mic connected in the mbox device. It does work to record and it does sound to.

It does show up under two preferenses, under audio devices -> standard devices and under voice -> standard device or something like that i don't have it in english. I recently bought a mbox-2mini and when i plug it in and look for it in properties it doesn't show up as playback or output.
