Re: How do I delete all audio between two 'labels'?
So much of Audacity is counterintuitive. Perhaps you should switch back to Sound Forge. So I have a section of audio I need to cut out of a long recording but I need to double click between two markers in order to select the piece to delete. No you don't need to double click on anything. 1. Click o...

Re: How to open a file without hours and hours of nothing appearing after it.
Why must all these things require two handed operations? Keyboard shortcuts usually require a "modifier key" to prevent the shortcut being activated during normal typing. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modifier_key You can however change Audacity's shortcut key bindings. See: https://manual.aud...

Re: -20db or best signal
I'm interested in exploring distorted sounds, like guitar. But that involves clipping, no? I wonder if I can clip and then just reduce the level to where it would be without clipping? Is it only in the final mix that we should not clip? Otherwise I don't see how distortion is achieved. Digital clip...

Re: repeat each label tracks
Is there any way to select multiple labels? or in overall, selecting multi parts? Cut, Delete, and Split Cut can be applied to labelled sections (https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/edit_menu_labeled_audio.html) but there is no general way to apply effects to multiple parts at the same time. Tips: ...

Re: Saving Macro Exports in 3.0.2rc01
I know the response to some (if not all) of this is a little late, but I did not want to leave your questions unanswered. Thanks for all the detail. I appreciate that although the change in "macro-output" was not a huge big deal for you, it is less convenient than previously. What I was personally ...

Re: repeat each label tracks
I think the only way to do that in Audacity is to actually repeat those sections of audio (see: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/repeat.html)

Re: Cloudflare blocks my access when trying to post Nyquist code
But after copying the code Were you posting the code directly in your post, or as an attachment? The "New plugins" forum should allow you to post a ".ny" file as an attachment (see: https://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936) The limit for the number of characters in a post is fairly...

Re: Export individual label when multiple labels in project
It seems that the destination directory has to exist. It didn't (C:\tmp, not C:\temp), hence the macro bailed out. Would be nice to provide either an explanatory message or document in the code that this is a requirement. A related problem is that the code will only work on Windows ("C:\" does not ...

How were they created?Kang Ming Si wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 3:34 pmThe files in question were not created by merging other files or anything of that sort.
Do you have a small MP3 file that has this problem that you could share with us?
