As of this morning, I am unable to open the Tone Test file.
Try extracting it again from the ZIP that Koz uploaded. Does a fresh copy of the Tone Test project work?

I had trouble managing the plain aup3 file
The forum should now be able to handle AUP3 files, provided they are small enough.

Re: Audacity performance on M1 Macbook Air

So from what you're saying, it sounds like eventually there will be an M1 version of audacity? Don't quote me, but my guess is that Apple will gradually migrate all of their Macs to M1 and drop all support for Intel based Macs, so I'd expect that it's likely that Audacity will follow suit eventuall...

Re: Identifying Tracks

I’m trying to record drum tracks with my Roland TR-27 kit. Is that the correct model number? Below is a list of the audio routing for the 28 channels: That looks like a list of virtual input channels. If you have the V-drums TD -27, then according to Roland, it has 4 audio output channels. Re: cut/paste problem

Perhaps this is a bug in Audacity? This behavior seems to be different than that of Notepad, for example I guess it could in a strict sense be classed as a bug, but it's rather more complicated to handle this than it is for say NotePad. Whereas NotePad is only concerned with printable text on the O...

Re: Audacity performance on M1 Macbook Air

Our developers and testers only have Intel Macs, so we are not likely to be releasing a separate M1 version yet. Also, we don't want to drop support for Intel Macs as that's what the vast majority of our Mac users use, and we really don't want to have to duplicate all testing for macOS. It's a lot e...

Are you using Audacity 3.0.0?
(Look in "Help menu > About Audacity")

Re: recorded audio breaking up

Just in case, try a few smaller buffer sizes. For example, 75, 50, 25 ms.
Any difference?

Re: How to specify a list of timepoints for a plugin to operate on?

In Audacity 2.2.2 the "Nyquist Prompt" is in the "Effect" menu.

Unfortunately it looks like Audacity 2.2.2 is too old to allow Nyquist to read labels.
Which version of Linux are you using?

Re: How to specify a list of timepoints for a plugin to operate on?

Unfortunately, my installation does not seem to have included the Audacity documentation Unfortunately that seems to be the case for all Linux packaged versions of Audacity :( The manual is in HTML format, so the easiest way to read it is to simply download the manual ZIP package, extract it somewh...
