Re: Synchronization to rhythm track problem

Re: How does a file become a Project?

If you export your recordings as WAV files, you will be able to add them to a CD compilation with Brasero.

is there a way to alter the voice envelope rise time without altering the rate of change of the vocal formants?
Not in Audacity.
You need to use a program such as Antares AutoTune with a supported host application.

Re: Unable to associate mp3 files with Audacity

It is not recommended to associate audio files with Audacity as doing so will interfere with the normal "play" associations, and it can be annoying to be prompted to save the new Audacity project if all you wanted to do was to play the file. Also, Windows 10 makes it difficult to associate files wit...

I get the WARNING
Yes, it's a "warning", it's not an "error". It is just telling you that "Save" will create a "Project" and that if you want an "audio file" (such as a ".wav" file) you need to use "Export" rather than "Save".

Re: How does a file become a Project?

If my "Project" is a group of folders Not a "group of folders". A project is (usually) just one file and one folder (there are advanced options that go beyond that, but let's not go there ;)) do I have to keep all that in the documents Folders in my computer? You have to keep the ".aup file" and th...

Re: .au file reecognition

You should not access Audacity's ".au" files directly. They are data "block files" and are integral to the Audacity "Project" structure. To open an Audacity project, open the ".AUP" file. Information about how to safely manage projects is here: https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/audacity_projects.h...
