Thanks, that might be a solution, but I think I'll wait until 1.3 is out of BETA. Shouldn't be too long. For now I can do what I need to do, but in the future, my needs are likely to grow more complex. I'm thinking of upgrading from my crappy $10 Labtec AM-240 lapel mic to either a USB or a standard...

I realize this thread is pretty old, but the problem is still not solved. I have a RealTek ALC888 HDA sound card built onto the motherboard, which is a Foxconn F33M02. Keep in mind that my sound card is working in all other respects. When I had the Mic plugged in, I could hear myself talking through the speakers.
