OK so I tried those methods, and the one that works best for me is to have the stereo mix recording volume set to as low as possible without muting it. Sounds pretty good now, but that's a little strange isn't it? Also I'm trying to record off of myspace,youtube etc. Even tried WMP and itunes! Thank...

When ever I try to record anything, even if I have nothing playing on my computer, when ever I record sound from my stereo mix there is bad clipping and distortion. Same results with other recording programs. Any ideas anyone?
