The videos are importing okay, the music sounds good underneath the squeaks. It records clear, with not a lot of static or anything. The videos are: VLC media file (.mpg)
So is there any way to fix the squeak problem? Can I shut off the built in mike somehow?

I'm not doing anything live. I'm just importing the videos from my camera flashdrive, or some of them are on my desktop where I dragged them. I just go to "Import Audio" and choose a video (MOVO2972 for example), and then hit record. I have never used Audacity before, so maybe I am not doi...

squeaking noises
I am trying to record the audio off of videos I have shot with my camera, a Sony Cyber-shot. However, every time I record on Audacity, I get loud squeaking noises over the audio. There are probably 7 or 8 loud squeaks for every minute of audio I record. I have tried different computers with no luck....
