Re: AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Auda

Running the ARU on a large number of files, it creates a large WAV but this is not recognised as a WAV file Will make further tests Taking a hint from Gale, I renamed a small sample of files using B0000[n].au format for Audacity Recovery Utility 1.1 http://www.mesw.de/audacity/recovery/ It worked! I...

Taking a hint from Gale, I renamed a small sample of files using B0000[n].au format for Audacity Recovery Utility 1.1
http://www.mesw.de/audacity/recovery/

It worked!

I will try it on the remaining 770 files

Re: AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Auda

But if you entered 44,100Hz, I'd be surprised if that was too fast... I wouldn't expect anything less than 44.1kHz from the Alesis interface. If the data is truly mono, and you import the raw data as stereo, it's going to play-back at twice the speed. Mono mic, recorded as a single track, imported ...

Re: AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Auda

You can't recover a project by dragging the autosave file into Audacity. The autosave file was not dragged into Audacity. Audacity offered to recover the project upon start up. Did you read my post ( http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=240384#p240384 )? Yes. I was replying to it and have ...

Re: AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Auda

Why did it freeze? Did you run out of power? If Windows is freezing you need to find out why. It has not frozen much recently. There are several suspects: - PerfectDisk which runs as a service - but it seems to have played well with the current configuration. - Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 USB Soundcard ...

Re: AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Auda

I would expect one or two tiny files to be damaged at the end of the capture when the machine went down, but if you have more than that, then the capture was being damaged during the show. Yes, the last few files sounded like chipmunk, speeded up speech. If the normal recovery processes failed then...

AU Files Not Recognized by Repair Tools But Open in Audacity

city 2.0.5 was recording live from a mic connected to a USB Soundcard (Focusrite) when Win 7 froze necessitating a system reboot. Audacity offered to recover the recording but could not and suggested Import Raw Data. The AU files are audible after importing as Raw Data and as Audio. Using Import Raw...

Re: 1.3.9 can't select some regions of MP3

Thanks!

Yes that's the solution disabling "snap to".

I don't know how it got to be enabled.

Wonderful, now I can use Audacity again!

1.3.9 can't select some regions of MP3

I can't select some regions of 320kpbs MP3 since upgrading to Audacity 1.3.9 in XP SP3. Same problem when reverting back to 1.3.7. I can't select certain areas of the MP3 - exactly the same sections, one of which is a section where the amplitude goes unacceptably high when a mic was bumped during re...

Re: MP3 Speech sounds bubbly at 96kpbs

You will get much a better sounding MP3 if the recording is mono rather than stereo. If you have a stereo track, convert it to mono before exporting. Thanks. I will record in mono. I don't know whether to use VBR because of my Shoutcast limit and listener slow connection speeds. I am currently stre...
