Hi Bill,
Good question, however there is no 16 bit option for the headphones in Audio/Midi. In addition, Audacity Preferences > Quality > Rate is set to "32 bit float".

Re: No Sound from Bluetooth Headphones
Thanks Koz, but I've checked all these settings and the same problem persists. I can listen to iTunes on my bluetooth headphones, but not Audacity. Audacity plays back fine through my USB DAC. Here is the Sound Pref. window: sound preferences.jpg the audio/midi window: audio midi.jpg and the Audacit...

No Sound from Bluetooth Headphones

So, when the file was imported into Audacity could just the first few seconds have been imported and multiplied thousands of times?! This doesn't make sen...

File skips when played
I used Recorder Pro (Dava Consulting; see the iTunes App store) to record an aiff file (bit rate 187 kbps; sample rate 44.1 kHz) on my iTouch (most recent gen). I downloaded the file to my Mac (OS 10.6.1), and it plays without a problem in iTunes (9). However, when I load the file into Audacity (eit...
