Which version of Audacity are you using at the moment? STF, I now have it working, well sort of. If you select all channels, it records very nicely. I'm using 1.3.9, although I believe this may still be the case under 1.2. Have just tried Cakewalk, and all works fine.

Just make sure that the Windows drivers are installed - they should be on your installation disk. You can have more than one type of audio driver installed at a time, and select with the application which driver the application will use to communicate with the hardware. I'm not entirely sure how to change the edirol so that it uses wdm as opposed to azio drivers. Thanks David.

Using Audacity with Edirol UA101

Hi folks,
I'm trying to record through my UA101. I've selected it for recording and playing, and am using inputs 33-4 to pick up from a cassette recorder. I can hear the recorder through headphones, but nothing is recorded. I'm using windows XP. Many thanks for any light, Dave.
