Audacity Forum

For basic recording: Audacity Preferences... AudioI/O... Playback Device... Recording Device Microsoft Sound Mapper is the default setting for both (input/output.) Should I leave this set as is or change it to my sound card? (So far, I haven't had any problems with the Microsoft Sound Mapper setting.)
