Re: Recorded track but won't play back or save file
p.s. Just a tip from my end, in case anyone else ever has to do this: attempting to add all 1200-odd .au files to the project at once kept crashing the program, so I'm doing it a hundred at a time and it's working fine.

Re: Recorded track but won't play back or save file
Um... The "export as .WAV" option is grey, just like almost everything else in the "File" menu (see above). Everything is still alive on the timeline; I just can't seem to DO anything constructive with it. I do have at least 40 gigs available on my hard drive. I believe I understand some of what you...

Re: Recorded track but won't play back or save file
One more thing: I've discovered that I can open saved .aup projects, and while most menu options are available on these, the "play" and "record" buttons still won't work.

Re: Recorded track but won't play back or save file
Unfortunately, I have been unable to save the project at all. Here is a brief recap of exactly what I did: I recorded a brief "test" track, then forgot to stop recording for several minutes. I then stopped, and cut out the several minutes of silence at the end of the track. It was about two hours la...

Re: Recorded track but won't play back or save file
Thank you for the quick response! First of all, neither the pause nor the stop button respond at all to my clicking them. FF and RW work fine. Play and record depress and quickly pop back up with no actual activity. I have at least 40G free on my hard drive. When I click on the track information box...

Re: Recorded track but won't play back or save file
Okay, I'm having the same problem, and it is very serious, as I've just recorded a phone interview with Audacity and now I cannot listen to it or save it. Here is what I CAN do, by menu: FILE: New, Open, Recent Files, Exit. Everything else is greyed out. EDIT: Undo, Select, Selection Save, Selection...
