Thank you for your info. I do have a master file (.aup) and a folder with little files of data, but I still can't hear the recording on my computer when I open the project from the master file. I checked to see what sound card I have on my computer and I selected that card in the preference settings...

I am using Windows XP to access Audacity. I have transferred an AUP sound file from an M-Audio Microtrack II to my computer. When I open the file to listen to my recording on the computer, I can't hear anything no matter what I/O settings or other preferences I try to use. What is wrong?
