It's logical, but I don't know how to cause that to happen. Audacity's project rate is 44100 -- doesn't that control both recording and playback? Gram16 is set at 44k ... so I don't know what it could be. Do you know what could be set in the computer that would cause that ratio to be expressed? Maes...

Recorded signal plays back at higher frequency?
Now here is a problem. When I record in Audacity, on playback, the frequency of the recorded signal is raised. I just recorded a tone at 261.62 Hz and it played back at 287 Hz. This happens in Audacity (and Richard Horne's Gram 16 as well). I've checked the bios settings, replaced the sound card wit...

Recording plays back 1/2 step higher
This is a problem that shows up in Audacity but may actually be a soundcard problem. I'm asking about it on this forum because of the depth of expertise here in hopes that someone might have a solution. If I sing a pitch and record it, it plays back just about one half step higher than I recorded it...
