cursor disappears right of screen
As usual, I suspect I have a simple fix problem but I cannot find solution after some frustration spent trying to fix this. When recording, the cursor disappears off the right of the screen, instead of staying visible where I can see it advancing , as the music is recorded. As always, thanks in adva...

Re: remove zoom?
Bullseye !
Pressing F1 did nothing, but the "I beam " does the trick. Altho I do not recall seeing the "I beam" mentioned in the various help suggestions I tried.
Thanks

Hi I've been away for a long time, but am back to converting all my CD's and tapes to flash drives, via Audacity. All was going well, until I did something inadvertently, and now I cannot remove the "zoom" feature from the cursor. (the little magnifying glass) I have read several posts about how to ...

feedback during recording

But when I hit the "record" button, there is a very, very loud feedback/oscillation which drowns out the actual music I want. I have tried al...

change level ?
I am using Audacity 2.1.3 with a PC, late model. I am transferring all my old cassettes of my music to the computer, and then to CD's. But some of my old recordings of my playing are not "balanced", that is, one channel is a higher level than the other. (Due to careless mic placement, or whatever.) ...

Re: fake stereo?
I still don't get it - as near as I can tell, you are describing how to record ONE channel . But I want to record BOTH channels, even tho one is a clone of the other (or, as I called it, fake stereo.) I want to wind up with a recording that fills both right and left channels with the same recording....
