Re: Reverse RIAA curve

Hi! Until the feature is added, op (or anyone) could prepare one(s) quite easily by himself/herself : http://jiiteepee.fortunecity.com/riaafilter/index.html Look @ bottom of the page ... there are coefficients for biquad RIAA filter ... and "instructions" how to turn one to type of production RIAA. ...

Re: Input slider disabled with USB input device?

Changing volume level for digital data means decreasing/increasing bit-depth which in this case means lower audio quality because of being 16-bit device in question. I think you need to adjust input lev...

Re: How to have sound remain equal

Hmm... depends on what are you meaning (your self recorded music or music ripped from CD/LP/Cas) but, maybe applying normalize (or amplify) effect for each track helps in this.

Re: Amplifying L and R differently

Hmm ... never tried this (= I don't know if the method and it's result is OK) but, on track header there's a drop menu with an option "Split stereo track" -> you should get two mono tracks. After that use the Amplify effect for the track having lower level. When levels are ~equal then, just convert ...

Re: Recording to CD

Hmm... you sure have some CD burning software available there?
The easiest way would be to save the recording as WAV in Audacity and then burn into CD (select type of Audio CD).

Re: Recorded quality does match direct playback

WC; Thanks - the sound card is a standard PCI - I just wanted to narrow down the hardware/ software thing to see where to start. I think I'll try an outboard card /adapter. The Edirol and Berhinger have their own DACs - correct? I suggest not to choose from those low budged devices from behringer o...
