Re: no sound recorded, but waveforms & recording meter activity both show

I can't find a user manual for that unit.

Since the jacks are labelled "CD Out" I'd guess that's what they do, and do not include the cassette or radio audio signal. So you'll need to use the headphone output, as far as I can tell.

And the only other outlets it has are 2 RCA outlets on the back which are labeled "CD Out" (right and left). Do you know if these RCA outlets will also work send sound for the cassette player?
Without knowing the model number it is impossible to say.

Re: Keyboard shortcut dialog popups up when using shortcuts

I thought I had reported this on bugzilla, but apparently not. With Audacity 3.0.2 on my Macbook Air macOS 11.4 ... Open a project with at least one audio track. Click in the Project Rate box in the Selection Toolbar so that the editing cursor is visible there. Do any keyboard shortcut that involves...

Re: no sound recorded, but waveforms & recording meter activity both show

In the device toolbar what have you selected as "recording channels". If you've selected 2 but the device supports only 1 this could be the problem. In any case, you will not be able to record your stereo cassettes with this interface, as jademan implies. So it seems pointless to try to ge...

Re: Plugins & Effects - Where to Find?

you need the LADSPA (Lame & FFmpeg) to be able to export files properly. This person doesn't know what they're talking about. LAME and FFmpeg have nothing to do with LAPSPA . LAME is already built in to Audacity. You only need FFmpeg if you intend to export into exotic formats. For VO work the ...

In Audacity, click on Help (menu) > Diagnostics > Audio Device Info. Copy the contents of the report window and paste it into a message here.

Re: Audacity not recognizing my Microphone plugged into USB

Which steps did you follow?

Quit Audacity. Go to Apple (menu) > System Preferences > Sound > Input. Is the USB microphone listed there? If you speak into it, does the input level meter bounce?

Now start Audacity. Is the USB microphone listed as a recording device?

Re: no sound recorded, but waveforms & recording meter activity both show

The only options on my device toolbar are (there is nothing else when I try use the dropdown menu): Grabber - core audio, Recording Device - built-in microphone, Playback Device - Built-in output I assume you've looked at this page . "Core Audio" is the "host" not the "grab...

Re: Audacity not getting signal from macOS Big Sur 11.4

Have you given Audacity permission to use the "microphone"?
