The same thing happened to me yesterday. I had a version from before. If you are using the 1.3.8 beta, it seems that it wants a newer version of the encoder than was previously used. Check the 1.3.x forum for download/install issues and you may find more.

When I was using 1.3.7 it worked fine but now that I installed the 1.3.8 beta I'm having the same problem. I followed all the posted advice RE resetting prefs, etc. but it still will not work. Additionally, when I go out to the LAME encoder download site I get a 403-Forbidden error (another user in ...
