Re: Headset/microphone via usb
Yeah, nothing wrong with them! I just think you'd do yourself justice with something a little more professional. There's always something like http://www.dolphinmusic.co.uk/product/2 ... o-usb.html which is essential my current kit but I have a better mixer and usb interface.

Re: Headset/microphone via usb
Hi,
So perhaps investing in a good mic and some speakers may be better than a headset? I am just worried a headset mic won't cut it, especially for your use where clarity is 100% important.

Re: Headset/microphone via usb
Do you need the playback? If not there are some great USB Mics out there. I had a cheapo one from Amazon that was £19.99 yet the sound was really good and I used it for recordings. You could also get an XLR to USB converter. Obviously you're paying for the headphones as well in a headset.

Re: Recording Output
I see. Thanks for your help, I think Audacity will be my rough recorder, not because it's rough quality but because it's far easier to set up than the big DAWs and I like it a lot more. Please think about multi channel recording, it would be really great; especially as then I could buy the UX1 and a...

Re: Recording Output
Yeah I read about the ASIO and considered building from Source but this is what I found. I am using MME in Audacity to record the Stereo Mix that is being generated from the ASIO Driver output. X-Gear is outputting to the left and right channels of my speakers which is working great and then Audacit...

Re: Recording Output
Ok, slight success!!!!! :) Using the ASIO interface I can record only the left channel and there's a lot of fuzz and annoying sounds. I disabled the USB Audio Codec output in the ASIO driver control panel. This means I can get left but with lots of fuzz and it's using the Stereo Mix recording option...

Recording Output
Hi, I have a Behringer 1202 Mixer connected to the UCA 202 Behringer Interface which works great with Audacity. I have just got AmpliTube X-Gear and cannot work out how to get the output from X-Gear into Audacity. At the moment the output from X-Gear goes to the UCA 202 headphone jack/RCA outputs; I...

Re: Multiple Inputs
Thanks for all your help!! I am leaving buying the Behringer and mic for a few weeks while I am really busy. It's good to know I can still record in Audacity!

Re: Multiple Inputs
Umm.. OK. In that case does that mean I will use two channels on the Mixer? One for each split cable? I will try the mono cable first I think as I could just mic up my Keyboard anyway.

Re: Multiple Inputs
Great! I'm recording Vocals but nothing too fancy, my cheap USB mic does fine. I believe the Keyboard JACK is mono as it's also the HeadPhone output and it works with the AMP, including a big bass AMP I used.
