Hi Koz I was connected to the net yes, the machine is not loaded with software but of course running a mac pro I do have some pro audio apps and plugins installed. I will keep trying the betas (1.2x works fine) I did try moving my plugin folders to the desktop but audacity still crashes hard. cheers...
