Re: MIDI export

I've been learning piano for a few weeks now on https://latouchemusicale.com which offers to import midi files to learn piano. So I wanted to know if there was a possibility to export midi files on Audacity? :D Yes, I have no idea whatsoever about what you are asking :? If you need more explanation...

Re: "couldn't find project data folder" message

So the first thing to do is in File Manager, click on the "View" tab. You will see a list of three checkboxes near the top right of the screen. Make sure "File name extensions" is checked. I moved the file into the folder I believe. I can't remember my reasoning for doing so haha but I'm unsure of h...

Re: Balance audio reset on startup

I don't think that you can. For Audacity to be able to use an audio device, it has to request an initialized connection to the sound system. If the sound system resets the balance in response to that request, there's nothing that Audacity can do about that. I'm not sure if the behavior that you des...

Yes. The URL has changed since I set that up. Should be fixed now. (it may take a bit of time for caches to update)

Re: Clicking when Transferring DAT recordings

I am trying to make digital transfers of some DAT tape recordings ...gold plated cable to ESI 24-bit USB audio interface... This is an analog connection. I do not believe the 48kHz rate of the DAT has anything to do with the 48kHz of the ESI. I suspect that if you were to change the ESI and Mac to ...

Re: Is there a way to make audacity listen for keybinds in the background?

I am using audacity 2.4.2 on windows 10 and was wondering if there was a way to make it listen for keybinds in the background, thanks in advance! :D So if you are into programming, it is possible to send commands from Python to Audacity via Mod-Script-Pipe. See here for a discussion of having Pytho...
