Oh and I forgot to add, that I've also tried using the built-in mic on this laptop and it also gives me the same problem.

Oh okay, let's see. I have an HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop. The mics are actually identical, both 10 dollar ones from Logitech. The two different versions of Audacity are versions 1.2.6 and the 1.3 Beta. Any more questions, just let me know.

I seem to be having a problem with my recordings. I've tried 2 different microphones and 2 different versions of Audacity and I'm still getting the same problem. More often than not, when I'm recording a track the quality suddenly goes down. And when I go to listen to it, it goes from a normal, half...
