Thanks for ideas and support. Before I tried any suggestions I ran CCleaner which also clears registry. This must have got rid of old version entries as everything fine since then. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, I also had exactly the same problem saving .aup files but was fine exporting MP3 and WAV. I am using 1.3.14 but still had 1.2.6 installed. I deleted both versions, cleaned the registry with 'auslogics reg cleaner' then re-installed latest version of audacity. Worked once but then same problem ag...

Further to my previous post, I think I have found the very simple answer to the problem. The files to burn were all around 79 mins and 55 seconds which I thought would fit onto an 80min CD-R. Only when I tried to burn them with Roxio did it tell me they were 3 seconds or so too long, i.e.the CD only...

Thanks for the reply. Preferences are set to sample rate of 44100Hz and format of 32 bit float. Should I change this to 16 bit then? The tapes I am recording from are old tapes of somebody preaching. They were recorded myself on blank tapes - TDK etc many years ago so have no commercial stuff on at ...

Hi, I have copied numerous tapes of my own onto audacity, exported as WAVs and burned to CD via Windows Media Player. Most have worked however some (especially those I seem to have edited a bit more or pasted into) will play as WAVs but won't burn as I am told the files all contain errors or burn ri...
