Re: Optimal bit depth setting with Yeti mic?

While we're here. Post a sound sample according to this formula. We're down here in the weeds with a magnifying glass when you could have other very serious problems. https://www.kozco.com/tech/audacity/TestClip/Record_A_Clip.html Read down the blue links. They're very short. Koz Interesting. I use...

Re: Optimal bit depth setting with Yeti mic?

I doubt the microphone will let you connect at anything but 16-bit. The up conversion from 16-bit to 32-floating in Audacity is perfect. It's coming back down you have to be careful. 32-bit is different from 32-floating. As Steve above, Audacity works internally at 32-bit floating unless you force ...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech

I can't figure out how to get back to my normal audio. Any effect can be immediately undone with "Edit menu > Undo" ("Ctrl + Z"). Note that "Undo" is in strictly chronological order. It will undo the last change, then if you "Undo" again it will undo the previous change, and so on. Also, on the fir...

Re: Optimal bit depth setting with Yeti mic?

48000 as a fuzzy generality is a video sound sample rate. 44100 is the Audio CD sample rate. The earth will not stop going around if you cross them. Most video editors will accept 44100 without even blinking. However the show will be missing one tiny conversion if you get them right. Most of my sou...

Re: Updated De-Clicker and new De-esser for speech

Hi. Newbie with Audacity and VO in general. I am trying to hone my skills in all things VO and one main focus is recording and editing in Audacity. I Have added the Paul L. de-esser and de-click nyquist effects. One thing I just can't figure out with the de-click is when I select "isolate changes" s...

Re: Audacity 2.4.2 - ULAW Issue

Hi. I am on Audacity 3.0. I recorded an IVR and was told to just submit as a .wav file. I'm new so didn't know what to ask so edited the audio and it was set at my normal 44100 Hz and 16 bit. They loaded the audio and when I dialed the phone number to hear my recording the quality was poor and didn'...

Controlling Audacity with Phone

Hi. I am new to Voiceover and one thing I have been searching for is if there is a way to control Audacity from my phone so I can leave my laptop and interface where they are vs. having to move them when recording. If anyone has any known ideas that could help please let me know. Thanks.
