Hello, I was noisegating my recording and got some windy sounds with my voice :lol: I captured it with the attachements, don't know will you know what I mean.. btw. where can I learn more about audacity? to fix stuff like that and be able to really understand the frequencies and what do you think ho...

Mission completed! 2.4.2 is on.
but I have another question now - what would you say is the (main) difference between noise gate and the typical noise reduction option(i have it in german so I don't know how it is called in english )
becuase it seems to me that they are super similar.

can't add noisegate as extension in the audacity

Hi,
does anyone knows how to fix this?

I downloaded the plugin from wikipedia and placed it into audacity plugin folder
after I click on "add extension" it gives me the error can't open the file :?

I'm using MacOS Catalina 10.15.6 (19G73)
Audacity: 2.3.3

got it, edit WAV version!

On the beginning I had thse little weird sounds for you to hear them than real silene and then I the real recording started, will be okay, it´s a relaxation for youtube

that was the edited version, if you don´t hear them great! have attached some on the beginning of the recording

btw. the overstressed ending of the word e.g. feelin GGG I can only fade out right?

yes I was talking (i.e. reading a written script;) I opened the doors of my closet, sat into it and placed a blanket under the mike that was on the height of my mouth, wasn´t listening at the same time.. but I did kind of pulled the doors to have "a small room" :lol: Not sure whether that did more ...

yes, on a voice memo with a plugged in microphone. Have never used music memo, don´t even see it on my iphone..
Talking in a wine glass or milk jug.

That's compression, noise reduction, or echo cancellation distortion and it's permanent.
so I can just remove it by cutting that part right?
