Re: I need help recording with Audacity- Windows 10
If your computer has a LINE IN jack, you could connect the keyboard's headphone output to it if you get a cable with the correct plugs, probably 1/4 inch stereo plug to 1/8 inch stereo plug.

Re: I need help recording with Audacity- Windows 10
The USB connector on that keyboard is for exchanging MIDI data with a computer or other MIDI devices. It is not an audio output for recording sounds.

Re: Multi channel recording using Behringer xenyx q802USB
In Audacity, do you have the recording channels window set to "2 (Stereo) Recording Channels"?

Re: recognizing Focusrite Solo mixer, making stereo recordings
The TRS input (input 2) on the Solo is a mono balanced input, not a stereo input. To record your keyboard in stereo with the Solo, you'd have to rig up adapters to connect one keyboard channel to the TRS input 2 and the other channel to the XLR input 1.

Re: Recording at start of mono track
If your device panel is set to "2 (Stereo) Recording Channels", Audacity will not record on a mono track. It will default to the end of the first stereo track.

Re: Input level meter question
Thank you Steve - yes, ASIO versus Windows DirectSound. I didn't realize that could make a difference.

Re: Input level meter question
Thanks for the replies. I understand the concepts of leaving headroom and recording conservatively. My question is why would two different programs display different levels for the same input signal?

Input level meter question
Hello. I am using Audacity 2.3.2 with Windows 10 and a Focusrite 2i2 USB interface. When the interface is at its clipping point, Audacity shows an input level of -6dBfs. With other software (Sony Sound Forge) an input level of 0dBfs is shown. Any idea why this discrepancy is occurring? Thanks.
