Determine frequency of audio signal in Audacity
I need to find the frequency range of musical audio signal (mp3 files), and also to get a graph of the frequencies, to determine frequency allocation, to see what frequency range contain the maximum audio information. Windows 7.

I just got a reasonable volume level with just Compressor, without adding Soft Clipping Limiter. nice.. You tried with both Compressor and clipping limiter effects applied, or used one of them?

Another clip (sample2 from the same track) contains solid male vocal part, should I use the same technique for it?

I tried this, Mp3 sounds almost same on nokia 2610, no noticeable difference. However nokia 2610 have small poor buzzer. Sure, sound quality depends on type of audio source and its spectrum, not all audio will sound good on phones. I just uploaded audio segments which I'm trying to convert http://oc...

another question: if audio source is in .FLAC format, is is better to convert it to WAV then edit, or edit FLAC file directly? I need to encode audio to mp3 anyway.
