It's the same whether I move the folder or not - no sign of .aup files. However, I've just tried a Windows search for .aup and they come up - so that's a relief. I can now re-edit my projects and find the files when I need them. I would be nice to know what my Windows 10 is up to, maybe it's somethi...

Thanks WC. The problem seems to be that when I save an Audacity project I don't get an .aup file, just the .au files. For example, I saved a recent recording to my desktop, I then moved the folder to my documents. It shows as songname_data. It opens to another folder called e08. This opens to three ...

the .aup file (effectively the data manager) sits alongside the projects data folder - thy must both be in the same folder.
