Audacity Forum

I'd like to be able to toggle the playback speed while I'm listening--but not by using the bar while playing, but rather by using a quick command (like raising and lowering the volume incrementally in QuickTime by using the Up and Down arrow keys). Can this be done?

Is there something in Audacity--or is there plans for something--that works like the Gain Envelope in Peak: an effect that enables me to select a portion of sound and use a graph with points to raise and lower the volume, as opposed to a more global volume effect? By the way, I love, love, love this...
