Right, but I'd rather not use additional hardware. On the university we use Sanako software but of course this is not available for Linux so I would like to use something like Audacity.

For a language course I have to listen to audio tracks and repeat what they are saying. This must be recorded in between the original track. Obviously, the pauses in their speech are not long enough for me to repeat the text. What I am doing now is quite harsh though, I need insert Silence at each p...
